Vaccinations and categorization of flights determine the tourist arrivals of 2021

The logic that wants the summer months as the best in revenue from tourism, came to overturn the pandemic situation.

The latest data from the Statistical Service show that the best – under the circumstances – month in revenue for 2020 was October with 77.4 million euros.

It is followed by August with 71.1 million euros and September with 63.3 million euros.

For the period January-November, the revenues reached 383 million euros, while in total the year 2019 ended with revenues of 2.6 billion.

It is worth noting that during the period January – December 2020, traveler arrivals amounted to 1.1 million compared to 5.7 in the corresponding period of 2019, recording a decrease of 80%.]]
