With an impressive virtual kiosk that received extremely positive reviews, Halkidiki attended the FVW TravelTalk Virtual Counter Days virtual exhibition, which took place on February 11-12 and had the opportunity to communicate and chat with German and Austrian tourism professionals. market presenting the unique advantages of the destination. During the 2 days of the exhibition, more than 200 travel agents and Tour Operators “passed” through the virtual kiosk of Halkidiki, where they had the opportunity to chat and receive information from the executives of the Tourist Organization. Nature activities, experiential experiences and themed excursions, family vacations and accessibility all had their place of honor in the virtual meetings. Of course, there were questions about the opening of the tourist season as well as the health situation, while many travel agents requested audio-visual material to be displayed through their pages on social networks.
The participation of the Halkidiki Tourist Organization in the exhibition is a continuation of the very successful FVW workshop that took place last October in Halkidiki and Thessaloniki.
The goal of the Organization is the continuous presence and promotion of Halkidiki through virtual exhibitions, workshops and B2B online meetings, in order to keep the interest of tourism professionals high. Despite the difficult conditions for promotion, the Halkidiki Tourist Organization is constantly looking for new ways to cultivate relationships and interest in the destination, utilizing technology and keeping pace with the trend of the time for Virtual presentations, which enable the destination to be within the protagonists in the new era of market approach. In this context, TOX will participate in the coming days in the exhibition of Romania (TTR Virtual | 18-21 / 2/2021) and in the coming months, in thematic workshops in Denmark, France, Russia, in the international exhibition ITB Berlin while at the same time , in early March will host a webinar in Italy and on April 1 in the Netherlands and Belgium.
