The Minister of Tourism, Vassilis Kikilias, on the occasion of the emergence of Greece as a top European destination for 2021, stressed that “Greece made the best use of pandemic management, medical and travel protocols. It proved to the planet that it is the most beautiful but also the safest destination “.

At the same time, the minister added: “This international award for 2021, comes to confirm that now in Tourism we make a championship of quality and travel experience. Greece will have tourism this year and in November, the professionals in the field must prepare for a strong 2022 “.

The World Travel Awards were established in 1993 to recognize and reward excellence in all key areas of the tourism industry. Today it is a prestigious institution that is recognized worldwide as the ultimate trademark of the travel industry.
