As of March 10, 2021, the airline Aegean Airlines resumes regular flights between Russia and Greece, according to an article on the Russian website RATA NEWS.

From the beginning, Aegean Athens – Moscow – Athens flights will be operated twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The number of flights will increase with the lifting of restrictive measures.

It is recalled that in Greece there are restrictions related to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Passengers must keep in mind the following:

– that a maximum of 500 Russian citizens per week are allowed in Greece (including for tourist reasons);

– that all passengers are required to complete the PLF form up to 24 hours before their planned journey and upon boarding to be able to show the valid QR code sent to them

– that they must present a negative coronavirus test, which has been performed up to 72 hours before their arrival in Greece

– that they must remain in a 7-day quarantine upon arrival in Greece.

The CAA

It is recalled that a few days ago new extensions of the air instructions (Covid-19 notams) for international flights until 8/3/21 were announced by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

In particular, in order to protect passengers and citizens from the pandemic, the following notams concerning international flights are extended until Monday, March 8, 2021 at 06:00 in the morning:

Prohibition of entry to Greece of Third-country nationals other than the countries of the European Union and the Schengen Agreement: notam provides for a ban on entry of third-country nationals other than the countries of the European Union and the Schengen Agreement. Citizens of the following 10 countries are excluded from the directive: United Kingdom, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Rwanda, South Korea, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Russian Federation and Israel.
